RUC has developed a training curriculum intended to assist utilities in operationalizing resilience within their organizations. Technical topics are selected within the areas of planning, operations, capital improvements, emerging technologies, and other areas of interest to water utilities.
RUC Talks provide valuable information and continuing education credits to participants. We invite you to join us at the next RUC Talk, or submit topics for consideration!
This presentation will include information on DHS tools and services to assess the vulnerability of critical infrastructure including water and wastewater treatment plants.
Hazards considered range from natural hazards to manmade, including site safety and cybersecurity assessments.
Assessment tools include dashboards that provide a resilience measure index score including a comparison to similar facilities across the nation.
There will be an opportunity to discuss how these tools might contribute to the RUC Resilience Scorecard and to explore opportunities for a regional dashboard to help utilities identify common gaps and po- tentially leverage projects to improve resilience in those areas.
